Places I've worked and what I did there.

I've gotten to work on machine learning, backend code, and tools used by real people. Here are the parts I'm most proud of.

    work

    Machine Learning Engineer Intern

Real-time incentive decisioning, causal measurement, and ML serving for the OneKey loyalty program on the Membership & Engagement team.

    • Built a FastAPI prototype for OneKey, a 100M+ member rewards program, with live profiles and safe fallbacks
    • Proved a +0.95pp booking lift in a placebo-clean study of 321k members, then replicated the dollar-lift result
    • Designed a typed reward API adopted by two sibling services, isolating clients from model changes

    • Designed GraphQL schema and resolvers to consolidate 200+ REST endpoints, cutting Angular client payload by 60%
    • Led a POC comparing Playwright and Cypress, achieving 4x faster tests (8 to 2 minutes) and driving tool migration
  3. Biocomplexity Institute, UVA

    work

    AI/ML Research Assistant

    nov 2024 - may 2025Charlottesville, VA

Graph-based anomaly detection for financial crime research on GPU supercomputing infrastructure.

    • Built scalable graph-analysis pipelines with cuGraph, SciPy, and NetworkX on 1.2M-edge ICIJ and crypto graphs
    • Raised AUC-ROC from 0.55 (logistic baseline) to 0.76, surfacing 250 anomalies at 89% precision
    • Applied centrality metrics and One-Class SVM to flag and rank illicit transaction patterns
  4. University of Virginia

    school

    BSCS, Data Science minor
