I'm a computer science student at UVA, spending this summer in San Jose working on machine learning at Expedia. Most of my projects start with something I'm already into: running, movies, music, or a problem that keeps bugging me.

Marathon Prep Bot

I wanted one place that could remember my training, put each workout in context, and help me tell whether I was actually improving. So I built it around my own workout history.

My runs now update one place where I can track progress, spot patterns, and plan what comes next.

Movie Recommender

I wanted better movie recommendations. I also wanted to turn the model into an app instead of leaving it in a notebook. Python does the learning, Go keeps it fast, and the site lets anyone try it.

The recommendations beat my baseline by 11.8%, and the app returns them in about 17 milliseconds.

Personal Site

A resume never really captures the whole person, so I built a site that could. It brings together my work, fitness, travel, music, and the projects I keep coming back to.

It became a portfolio I actually enjoy updating and one place for all the side projects I keep starting.
